easy-off | Community payback
Councils facing budget cuts are saving money by using community payback teams to remove graffiti. Safe graffiti removers like easy-off enable everyone to do their bit.
Councils and housing associations up and down the UK are calling on community payback teams to come along and help with graffiti removal. As budget cuts loom a new culture of synergy is blossoming and groups such as Youth Offender Teams and Probation trusts are working along side professionals to keep our country looking clean for less.
Just this week a team of five offenders worked for three days to remove graffiti in Nottingham saving the council over £5000 and repaying their debt to the community they damaged. Both the council and the community payback officers heralded the partnership as a complete success with both parties sure that it will pave to way for more projects.

“In the past it has been hard for Community Groups or Offenders to become involved in graffiti removal owing to the harsh nature of many of the chemicals but new advances in safe remover technology have produced safe graffiti removers that are unclassified under CHIPP and COSH regulations." said Mark Johnson of Urban Hygiene Ltd "These new safe graffiti removal products enable everyone to get stuck in and do their bit without damaging the environment and as we have seen with the Nottingham project, sensible councils’ are turning this to their advantage.”
It is inevitable that with further budget cuts on the horizon councils, housing associations and private companies are going to have to think harder and work smarter to keep up appearances. Partnering with community groups really is a win - win situation.
