London borough of Tower Hamlets chose easy-guard Class 0 fire upgrade coating & easy-on anti graffiti coating to upgrade & protect walls in Londons largest ever housing refurbishment program.

As part of London's largest ever housing refurbishment program, The London borough of Tower Hamlets demand for sustainable, clean and graffiti free housing set new challenges for the coatings industry. Tower Hamlets needed to upgrade their walls to Class 0 and fulfil their obligations under the regulatory reform fire safety order but also wanted to provide their 200 strong caretaker team a tough and permanent anti graffiti finish that could be cleaned daily and would resist everything tower block life could throw at it.

The obvious choice was easy-guard fire upgrade coating + easy-on anti graffiti finish. Manufactured by Urban Hygiene Ltd and supplied in this case by our friends at GoGum the easy-on - easy-guard system has been successfully tested to BS476 by WarringtonFire and upgrades the worst case Warrington "Blue Board" to Class 0 whilst providing up to 20 years protection from graffiti and damage

Tower Hamlets selection means their tower block walls will remain "fire safe and graffiti free" regardless of the amount of times they are cleaned since easy-on anti graffiti finish enables regular and efficient cleaning to take place without compromising the underlying Class 0 fire upgrade coating.
