easy-thaw is the ultimate de-icer for roads, floors and paths.
Regular rock salt can take hours to start working and is surprisingly corrosive. easy-thaw gets to work instantly and is 90% less corrosive and non-toxic to vegetation
easy-thaw is made up of dense pellets that rapidly penetrate into all frozen surfaces. They instantly initiate the melting process so ice is cleared quickly, safely and more efficiently. If you have used de-icers like rock-salt or grit in the past you'll be pleased to know easy-thaw does not result in dirty residues and will not damage carpets or floor coverings.
Supplied in 4kg tubs capable defrosting a staggering 45M2 easy-thaw is far easier to store, spread and handle. It's just what you need when the winter sets in.
easy-thaw works down to a staggering -15 degrees C and one application can be effective for up to 48 hours.
If you take winter safetly seriously and need a path cleared in a hurry then easy-thaw is the product for you.
Suitable for use on bridges, cat walks and fire escapes where salt would damage metal components.

Application Guide
Coating performance is proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Surface must be clean, dry (<6% moisture), undamaged and free of all contaminants prior to coating.
Prepare damaged areas to original surface preparation specifications, feathering edges of any intact coating system.
For optimum application, temperature of the material should be between 10ºC and 20ºC prior to mix and application.
Gradually add total contents of Cure tin into Resin tin and stir thoroughly to a uniform consistency.
Apply by brush, small roller or spray*, without thinning.
Use a cross-lapping method of application ensuring corners and edges are covered and avoid misses. If the surface is highly porous do not attempt to cover with one application. Apply a thin coat, leave for 3 - 4 hours to partially reduce porosity, and then apply a second light and even coat.
Many modern surfaces, especially when new, have a layer of grease, oil or other contaminants on them. To ensure good adhesion it is important these surfaces are thoroughly cleaned with a water based degreaser and that the degreaser used is then washed away before attempting to apply the coating. Both the contaminants and the degreaser can reduce adhesion so cleanliness must be considered critical.
Stainless Steel: Abrade, sweep blast or high pressure water blast.
Aluminium: Degrease followed by abrading blast or chemical conversion treatment.
Galvanizing: Degrease followed by abrading or chemical conversion treatment.
Concrete: New concrete - Acid etch or abrade to remove laitence. Aged concrete must be thoroughly cleaned.
Aged Coatings: All surfaces must be clean & dry, tightly bonded and free of loose flakes and corrosion products.
Brick/stone: All surfaces must be clean and dry and free of loose material.
Timber etc: Ensure surfaces are clean and dry.
SPRAY INSTRUCTIONS:
HVLP+ Walter pilot:
- Use 2,2 bar pressure with the 1,8 mm nozzle.
- WFT should be between 25 and 40 microns.
Conventional air spray (pressure pot):
- Use 0,2 bar material pressure and 3,5 bar assisted air pressure.
- Apply the recommended WFT of around 25/30 microns.
ALWAYS CLEAN OUT THE UNIT THOROUGHLY WHEN FINISHED SPRAYING. LEAVE SMALL AMOUNT OF CLEANER IN THE SPRAY POT.
