Urban Hygiene goes to The Singapore Elephant Parade
11 November 2011
As part of our ongoing support of the Elephant Parade we flew out to Singapore. The mission? To oversee the application of easy-on protective coating to over 100 elephants.
Billed as “Probably the heaviest outdoor art exhibition Singapore has ever seen” the Elephant parade will feature Pachyderm pieces painted by famous artists.

Urban Hygiene’s involvement goes back several years. We were approached by the organisers who were looking to find a clear finish tough enough to protect the works of art when they were put on public display in the hearts of major cities.
The idea is people can interact with the Elephants, to be enjoyed, sat on and touched. Unfortunately this means that (if left unprotected) damage can occur and with many of the Elephants being worth a lot of money this was a problem.
After extensive testing involving alternative coatings easy-on was selected as the clear champion. No other finish offered the same level of protection and showed the Elephants off in such a good light.
The Singapore Elephant Parade will be in Lion City from 11/11/11.
Urban Hygiene wish everyone involved good luck and thank you for once again choosing easy-on.
